The Collingsworth Family Releases Landmark DVD Project

The Collingsworth Family Releases Landmark DVD Project

Nashville, TN  – StowTown Records is pleased to announce the brand new DVD release from The Collingsworth Family. That Day Is Coming released on Sept. 15 and is distributed worldwide by Sony/Provident Distribution.

The multi-award winning family group was thrilled to put together this very special project. It was recorded live in front of a sold-out audience at First Wesleyan Church in High Point, NC, with a live band and members of the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra.
“The That Day is Coming video was, by far, our most complex and challenging project to date.  However, it is the one we are most happy with the end results,” said Phil Collingsworth. “With great effort comes great satisfaction when you how the results of hundreds of hours of labor in your hands.”
The Collingsworth Family performs all 13 powerful songs from their current StowTown album, including “That Day is Coming,” “Ever Faithful” and “When He Carries Me Away.”
“Having a full orchestra and band performing every song with you in front of a sold-out audience requires a great deal of prep-time and structuring. Then we spend time bathing it all with tons of prayer,” added Phil. “The night went so incredibly smooth, and we attribute that to the many, many people all over the country who were watching via the livestream and praying for us right at the same time. We were able to capture the emotion of the room on film and add in so many great behind-the-scenes interviews, which made the songs literally come to life.”
In addition to album features, they also performed hits such as, “Show a Little Bit of Love and Kindness,” “Keep On the Firing Line” and “Hallelujah Chorus.”
“Of all the projects we’ve released in the 18 years we have been on the road, this one best portrays the heart of the Collingsworth Family and our passion for ministry!” Phil concluded. “We certainly hope you catch the glimpses of Jesus through the viewing of the DVD. It was our goal to lift Him up, so people would be drawn to The Master.”

MICHAEL ENGLISH UNVEILS LOVE IS THE GOLDEN RULE TODAY

Written by Staff on September 18, 2017 – 10:23 am -

MICHAEL ENGLISH UNVEILS LOVE IS THE GOLDEN RULE TODAY

MICHAEL ENGLISH UNVEILS LOVE IS THE GOLDEN RULE TODAY

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (September 15, 2017) – Multi-award winning, critically-acclaimed and beloved artist, Michael English, is back with one of the most highly-anticipated projects of 2017, Love Is The Golden Rule. The project – releasing today on Daywind Records – is filled with the central theme of love, from the opening song “My Love,” the rollicking “One Drop Of Love,” to the thought-provoking title track, “Love Is The Golden Rule.”

From the onset of this project, English had one goal – to record messages of unity and love through Christ. “When I set out to record this new project, I was struck by how divided our country was and the amount of hate that was on the television every time I turned it on. I decided to record a project that would be positive, uplifting, and promote love to one another. I wanted this music to bring people together.”
Described as ‘vintage English’ with a ‘fresh spin,’ the project will thrill longtime listeners of Michael’s music while drawing on the journey of life Michael has traveled. Jason Clark (Nelons, Amber Nelon Thompson) produced all but one song and expertly crafted the project to feature the distinct voice and style that have made English a fan-favorite since his early days in Christian music. Jay DeMarcus (Rascal Flatts, Reba McEntire, Chicago) lent his talents to produce “The Living Years,” a pensive cover of the Mike + the Mechanics hit song.
“It is an honor to produce and arrange this project for one of the world’s most legendary singers and performers,” says producer Jason Clark. “As a lifelong fan, I suggested to Michael that we make this recording the one his fan base has been long been waiting for. It is undoubtedly, unashamedly ‘Vintage English.’ Production took over eight months, as we assembled a cast of the world’s greatest musicians, writers, singers, engineers, from various genres of music. Michael worked extremely hard and what he delivered on this recording, I believe, is some of his best work in his entire career.”

Rob Patz asks: Does God care about You?

Written by Staff on September 16, 2017 – 5:50 pm -

Happy September birthday Rob Patz

Happy September birthday Rob Patz

Welcome to the September edition of the Publisher’s Point. I hope everyone had a fantastic summer. Of course, September means we are drawing to the end of the great weather. I have to admit that fall is my favorite time of year, partially because my birthday falls in the fall … September to be exact. That’s what we’re going to talk about this month in the Publisher’s Point. No, not my birthday, though if you want to send birthday cards or gifts, get in contact with me, and I will give you my address … just kidding.

Rob Patz at six weeks

Rob Patz at six weeks

I have been thinking a lot lately about how amazing God is. Not only does He know us before we were even formed in our mother’s womb, but He selected a date for us to enter this world. How amazing is that, that the Creator of the universe thought enough about me to select a date for me to be born and a set of parents for me. If you really think about it, it is pretty incredible.

I know all of us at times struggle with feeling important, or wanted, or special, but if you look at this one point in our existence, how God orchestrated everything in the universe to coincide with our birth, how cool is that to think He loved us so much that He planned the date of our arrival? So, not only does He care for us enough to plan the date of arrival, but He has a plan for our daily life if we are sincere and ask Him for direction.

Rob Patz celebrates his birthday Sept. 24

Rob Patz celebrates his birthday Sept. 24

I also think about the fact that God planned the arrival of His Son. He knew the beginning, He knew the end, and He knew the reason for both. Not unlike His plan for Jesus, He has a plan for your life. He knew your beginning. He knows your middle, and He knows your end. Think of how amazing that is, that the God of the universe, who loves us so much, has planned the date of our birth and planned our life. He has a desire for you to fill His great plan.

So many friends of mine will tell me, “well, I can’t share the gospel,” or, “I can’t be a soul winner, because I have a full-time job.” There’s nothing further from the truth. We all have opportunities daily to live out our faith.

Recently, I heard a story from Jesse Duplantis about how he witnessed to a gentleman at the gas station, and the entire conversation started because of his boots. Let that sink in for a minute. Jesse won this man to Christ by the boots he wore. You stop and think today about what it is that you have in your life that you can use to win others to Christ. Not all of us are going to preach from the stage. Not all of us are going to sing a song that will change someone’s life. Sometime, in the most unusual place, you can be Jesus to someone.

Mrs. Shirley and her son, Rob Patz on his first birthday

Mrs. Shirley and her son, Rob Patz on his first birthday

So, as I celebrate my birthday month, I feel a sense of peace about my relationship with Jesus, knowing that He loves me so much that He had a plan from the very day that I was born, to this very minute as I write this to you.

I know you might be struggling today with loneliness. You might be struggling with feeling unloved, or you might be struggling with a direction in your life. However, I want to tell you this … instead of looking at the problems that you see, put your focus on what Jesus says in the Bible, in Jeremiah 29:11, “for I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (NIV)

Just reading that encourages me. I hope it encourages you.

2017 GMA DOVE Award Nominee Blessed with New Gospel CD and DVD

Walker Joined by Many of His Musical Heroes on Upcoming Studio Recording that Follows His Chart-topping Gospel Music Debut

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—September 12th, 2017– Country singer and GMA DOVE Award nominee Bradley Walker has just completed an all-new, studio recording and LIVE concert DVD of gospel songs and hymns that will be released on October 6th. Produced by Ben Isaacs (The Oak Ridge Boys, The Isaacs), Blessed, Hymns and Songs of Faith (Gaither Music Group) captures many of the songs that inspired Walker to become a singer.

“As a singer, I’d have to say an album like this has always been on my ‘bucket list,’” described Walker. “I have always hoped I would have the chance to make a record full of classic gospel songs that I’ve grown up on, with some new ones thrown in, and make it a good representation of who I am musically. I believe we’ve done that.”

That accomplishment not only finds the Alabama native fulfilling a lifelong dream but doing so alongside some of his musical influences and heroes.

“Ben [Isaacs] and I wanted to capture the combination of country, bluegrass, and gospel that we both love so much; and I’m so thrilled for folks to hear how it came together,” stated Walker. “We also asked several of my favorite singers on the planet to be on this album with me. These are folks who I’ve listened to and admired for many years and who I’m proud to say have all become friends.”

That group of friends includes the legendary Vince Gill, who joined Walker for “Drifting Too Far from the Shore,” a classic previously performed by Hank Williams, Sr. and Emmylou Harris among others. Award-winning songstress Alison Krauss lent her vocals to Walker’s rendition of “Angel Band,” and bluegrass star Rhonda Vincent added her talent to the gospel classic “One Day at a Time.” Country and Gospel Music Hall of Famers Jimmy Fortune and The Oak Ridge Boys performed on the new recording in addition to the GRAMMY®-nominated Isaacs and 15-time GRAMMY® Award winner Ricky Skaggs.

The LIVE concert DVD recording, filmed in Alexandria, Indiana, features an all-star cast of musicians including Isaacs and soloist Charlotte Ritchie. Hosted by Gaither Music Group’s founder Bill Gaither, the DVD spotlights Walker’s heart for this style of music and his dream to record this collection of songs.

“My country music heroes made some of the best gospel records of all-time, in my opinion,” said Walker. “…folks like Vern Gosdin, Conway Twitty and so many more. People have told me for years, ‘You need to make a gospel album!’ Well, here it is, and I hope it is something that will be a blessing to folks for a long time. This is all another dream come true, and I feel so honored…so fortunate…and so incredibly BLESSED!”

The Blessed, Hymns and Songs of Faith CD and DVD recordings will be airing this fall as part of a TV special on networks including TBN, RFD-TV, PBS, The Heartland Network, FamilyNet, CTN, GMC, GMTN, Guardian, Liberty, TCT, TLN and Gaither TV (available on Roku, Google and the Internet). It will be airing in Canada on Vision TV, CTS, The Miracle Channel and Hope TV.

A well-loved performer for years among country and bluegrass music circles, Walker garnered nods for Bluegrass/Country/Roots Album of the Year, Bluegrass/Country/Roots Recorded Song of the Year and Southern Gospel Song of the Year.

That debut recording landed at #9 on the Country Albums chart, #4 on the Contemporary Christian Albums chart and at #1 on the Bluegrass Albums chart in 2016. ABOUT BRADLEY WALKER
Country singer Bradley Walker is a storyteller. His unmistakable, baritone vocals are refreshing yet warmly familiar as are his songs about life, love, family and his Christian faith. In 2016, the IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year honoree partnered with longtime friend/songwriter Rory Feek to record a debut gospel music collection that captured his earnest style—one influenced by Haggard, Whitley, Jones, Gosdin, Milsap and others. Garnering three 2017 GMA DOVE Award nominations, those songs and his inspiring story have impacted countless people through his TV special, airing on over 15 networks.
In 2017, Walker went into the studio with longtime friend Ben Isaacs to record a traditional hymns recording that showcases his authenticity and finds him joining voices with many of his musical heroes. Whether singing on a Gaither HOMECOMING stage, “The Grand Ole Opry” or the “Ernest Tubb Midnite Jamboree,” this “best-kept secret in country music” continues to put a fresh spin on a timeless style with his unique, faith-infused brand of country music.
